Breathe

I'm alone, all alone.
And it's right where I need to be.
Listening to the everlasting hummm,
Like a beautiful white noise inside my conscience.
Living with my circumstance,
Like a silent roomate.

I never thought I'd like this giant quiet quilt,
Remanants of my childhood,
I'm finding her here.
I'm going to wrap this around me,
And enjoy the warmth of my own skin.
Hear my heart beat again,
And breathe.

I liked this one a lot! It evokes a feeling of serenity and thoughtfulness. I love your intro of being alone but knowing that it's where you need to be. That's very insightful. I've felt like that a few times in my life. It's difficult to admit to myself. Thanks for the poetry!
