Wretched girl

To the botom I can see,
A stranger looking back at me.
Envy growing, seaweed green,
Dirty arms- they reach for me.

I am sitting in the sun,
I like it here, I'm having fun.
Wrap myself with all my love,
Won't stop until I say I'm done.

I tease the water with my toes,
Into the deep, my sunshine goes.
The stranger stares, her eyes are black,
Waits for me to turn my back.

But I can play and dance all day,
I can keep the wretch at bay.
And all the hate she has for me,
Will float around her in that sea.

Stagnant bubbles from her mouth,
She wants bad, but can't get out.
Her own chains around her feet,
Keep her down there in the deep.

So on my way, the yellow road,
I've better things to do.
Than to stand upon this bank and see,
Me looking down at you.
